Weekly Episode Review: Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! (Anime Series - 7th episode)

This week’s episode of “Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!” proved to give back some of the viewers what they had experienced in the second episode. The episode was filled in with some moe moments from our characters, along with ecchi, a few more issues with the relationship of Yuuta and miss tsundere, and a cliffhanger ending that proves that this anime may not be all about Yuuta and his pet loli’s.

    Episode 7:

The episode started off with it’s usual calm, slice of life feeling in it. We were, once again, introduced to Yuuta’s seemingly love interest - Raika. She is, once again, extracting Yuuta’s inner pervert which all animes must have. Sadly, the anime hasn’t cut down on any more of Sako’s (the pedophile stated in the previous review) actions. However, despite that, this episode gave us a little sense of satisfaction. It’s very comforting and heartwarming as well to see Raika warm up to Yuuta’s children. Perhaps, this could be a bit of a buildup for the climax of the series and possibly complete Yuuta’s family. This episode, once more, showed another clear viewing of the growing relationship between Yuuta, his nieces, and the people around him.

Sora, however, is still very tsun-tsun and if her development were to increase and the series have her mature into someone else by the end, this anime would more than likely receive a solid eight. Another complaint is the “ecchi” in the series. When you have a moe show with cute girls, and one girl with big boobs, what do you need? A bath scene. This bath scene consisted of what is very typical in any bath scene with loli’s - the girls groping each other, their privates hidden by steam bubbles and suds, etc. This part of the episode was very generic and unneeded, not to mention that we had a 3 year old Hina being barely hidden by her hair and soap. This episode put very heavy tones on the ecchi and it really makes you question what’s in store.

Just like episode two, we were left on a cliffhanger on this episode as well. The landlord of the apartments arrived and told Yuuta that he had broken the contract of how many people are to live in the apartment, and he has one month to move out. While it’s not a completely suspenseful moment, it’s not something that’s normally found in this type of anime, so kudos to that.

    Episode Rating: 6.5/10

When this anime is scored something over a 5, it’s being implied that it is above average, since 5 is an average rating. This episode could’ve easily gotten a 7 had it not been for the typical scene they had decided to include in the episode, or if they had taken away a bit of Sora’s tsundere side. A little less Sako would do as well. The ending sequence, however, leaves us with questions on what Yuuta is to do about the situation he is in now, and hopefully we will get to see the family he has created work together to solve this problem. This anime, so far, is just above average, but at the same time, not at all.
